Meet the Rasmus Family
Rasmus Custom Design & Remodeling was founded in 2007 by Dustin Rasmus, whose passion for carpentry and eye for detail quickly earned the trust of clients across the Kansas City area. A licensed contractor with a strong background in construction management, Dustin brings hands-on expertise and a deep understanding of every phase of the remodeling process.
Raised in Iowa, Dustin developed his love for woodworking while spending time in his grandfather Kenny’s woodshop — learning the fundamentals of carpentry and craftsmanship from a young age. During high school and college, he honed his skills framing homes, roofing, and working with remodeling companies. He later earned a degree in Business and Entrepreneurship from Iowa State University, blending technical knowledge with business acumen to build a thriving remodeling firm.
In 2021, Erin Rasmus joined the business full-time, bringing a successful background in supply chain and program management from her corporate career. Erin’s strategic mindset and organizational skills have played a vital role in scaling operations and supporting clients throughout the renovation journey. She’s quickly become a knowledgeable and passionate partner in the home remodeling world.
